Weather Patterns in Bethany Beach, Delaware

At the moment I am vacationing in Bethany Beach, Delaware with 4 of my best friends. We have spent our days sitting on the beach and enjoying the last days of summer. I have noticed something very interesting while relaxing on the warm white sand, different elements occur depending on the wind direction. For example, yesterday the wind was blowing west so the beach was filled with pesky horse flies. The wind was blowing all the bugs from the land onto the beach. The day before the wind was blowing from the north and that caused storms to float down from the upper east coast. When the wind is blowing from the east you have a perfect beach day free of bugs and rain. Always make sure to check the weather patterns before planting your butt on a beach!
