Right now I am sitting on the beach in California and all I can see is the trash around me. Vacations are supposed to be relaxing but for an environmental geek like me this brings nothing but anxiety. Beach cleanup companies have started all around the world and they are all doing great things. Beach clean ups are essentially a volunteer activity among concerned citizens that takes place regularly along coastlines around the world. Cleaning the beaches also improves the coastal and ocean ecosystems by making sure that none of the trash kills marine life or is toxic enough to disrupt the marine life cycle. So whenever you are on a beach pick up some trash and help the world.
